What is Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic dental bonding is a great cosmetic dentistry procedure that can improve the appearance of chipped, cracked, or discoloured teeth. Dental bonding can also be performed to eliminate gaps between teeth and to change the size or shape of your teeth.

The procedure can usually be completed in one visit by Dr. Randy Singh, Dr. Marty Sekand, Dr. Ken Jandoo, Dr. Steven Schneider or their associates at any of our Love Your Smile Today Offices. After applying a tooth-coloured dental resin to match your natural tooth colour, the material is smoothed into the desired shape and an ultraviolet light is then used to bond the material to the teeth. Once the resin is hardened, it is shaped some more and then polished to a beautiful sheen. Done correctly, dental bonding is an excellent, highly aesthetic, and long lasting result for repairing, restoring or enhancing a tooth.

What is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding is often an excellent solution for treating front teeth that need slight cosmetic repairs and is less expensive than other cosmetic treatments. However, bonding can stain and is easier to break than other cosmetic treatments such as porcelain veneers or crowns.
